Tutus!

Wow, my last post here was about a year ago! I guess I've been busy...and pregnant.

Well, I got bored sitting around growing babies, so I decided to make some tutus. These are so easy to make, and I don't even have to leave my recliner. :) The girls picked their own colors, and I think they turned out pretty cute for my first try. I just looked up how to make these on Google because I have seen several for sale and I figured it couldn't be that difficult!

Anna's - purple and pink!
Ella's - purple and red!
Cadence's - pink and green (I had to pick these colors) - shhh, it's a surprise! If you like these and want one, let me know what colors you like. I can't promise I'll get around to making it, but it will give me something to put on my list of things to do while bored. :) Color options: hot pink, light pink, purple, red, lime green, royal blue, baby blue, yellow, turquoise, white. Just know if too many people ask, I'll need to start charging for materials! The cost of materials for toddler/big girl skirts is about $8, and the cost for 12mo and under is about $4.

More dresses..and frogs!

Today I finally got around to making my sweet niece, Cadence, two pillowcase dresses. The pattern is a little bit different than the one I've used before, but still pretty easy. Maybe they will send me pictures of her modeling the dresses so I can put them up here.

I also made Anna a new pillowcase dress out of some remnant froggy fabric I found. I couldn't decide what to do with the fabric for the longest time because it was such a small amount and kind of a narrow cut. Luckily, Anna is narrow, too, so the dress worked out perfectly!

I couldn't decide which picture was more cute, so I just used both. :)

This is a close-up of the frog that adorns Anna's dress.

Our outdoor chairs were looking rather beat up since the dogs decided to scratch them up, so I whipped up some new covers. I bought the fabric for just $20 at Hancock's, and the chairs look great!

More dresses! These are all for one lucky little girl. I hope she likes them!

I am starting to sell a couple of the cute dresses I started making. This one with the ruffle is $25 and the standard pillowcase dress seen in my previous posts is $15. I'll admit, this ruffle one isn't much fun to make - lots of little details. But, I think these colors are adorable. And this dress is for a toddler, so the ruffles really fit the age. I already have 5 dresses to make (well, 4 now), so it seems like everyone likes the dresses. Let me know if you want one for the little girl in your life!

Derby Dresses!

At the last minute yesterday afternoon, I decided to make Derby dresses for Ella, Anna, and Stella. It took me 2 hours to make the three dresses. Luckily, everyone took a nap, so I was able to work in peace. The result was just as adorable as I hoped. I'm contemplating taking orders. :) Don't worry Cadence, you are next on my list.

Another Boutique-style dress!

This was the easiest dress I've ever made. The biggest problem is that something screwy happened with my sewing machine that took me 30 minutes to figure out! Even so, it only took about an hour to make.

My model was reluctant to pose this time. I barely got these two pictures out of her.
